International Workshop: Trade, Innovation & Global Value Chains – 29 & 30 September 2022

On September 29th & 30th it will be held the 17th International Workshop of the international Study Group on Export and Productivity (ISGEP) entitled “Trade, Innovation & Global Value Chains“.

The 17th ISGEP Workshop is part of a series of workshops that have been taking place yearly since 2007 in different universities in Europe. The workshop is organized by the members of the International Study Group on Exports and Productivity (ISGEP), which is a network aimed at stimulating knowledge exchange and joint research on firm behaviour in international markets, using micro-data.

The workshop will address contemporary topics on trade activities, innovation and global value chains from an economic perspective. These include the factors driving the ability of firms to engage in trade activities, the evolution of global value chains over time, the role of digitalization and innovation in the development of export and import flows. The workshop will also provide contributions aimed at disentangling the effect of trade on environmental issues. It will be structured as a series of presentations and debates of academic papers by international scholars.

The event will take place in the Lecture hall (Aula Mancini) of Palazzo Boileau in Pisa (Via Santa Maria, 85, 56126 Pisa).
