PHD Academic Board
The PhD Academic Board comprises professors from the University of Pisa, as well as from other Italian and international universities. The Board also consists of two representatives of doctoral students.
The PhD Academic Board usually meets every four months. The Board is particularly convened in different circumstances: on the inauguration day of the new PhD cycle and the transition to the next academic year for current PhD students; for the accreditation procedures to the next doctoral cycle; to define the committees for the new PhD admission exam. The Board is also called to meet whenever decisions are necessary concerning the organizational life of the Doctoral Course.

PhD Executive Board
The PhD Executive Board comprises the Coordinator, three members of the PhD Academic Board, and a representative of the doctoral students.

Doctoral Programme Quality Assurance Group (GAQ)
The Quality Assurance Group (GAQ) of the Doctoral Programme is responsible for systematically monitoring the procedures relevant to the consolidation of the quality assessment processes of the doctoral activities.

Advisory Board (AB)
The Advisory Board (AB) of the PhD Programme was established at the start of the 41st cycle of doctoral activities. It is involved in consulting activities on the scientific and professional profiles of the Programme, the pertinence and effectiveness of the educational offering, and the propose of research lines coherent with the evolution of the social, cultural and economic contexts.
