How to apply

The call for admission to the PhD in Political Science is published in a variable period between the end of April and the end of July. The selection procedure takes place between June and July or by mid-September at the latest. All information will be published through the University’s channels.

Candidates must have obtained a master’s degree (or equivalent), present an articulated and persuasive research project, demonstrate mastery of the topics related to their field of research, and have a good knowledge of the English language.

The PhD Course offers two University scholarships available for 2025 and one scholarship funded by external bodies. The number of students admitted to the PhD Programme varies from year to year, depending on the number of scholarships available and the results of the selection process.

The selection of candidates will take place based on the evaluation of:

  • an academic curriculum (average of exams, final degree grade, prizes and awards obtained) and scientific achievements (publications, scholarships or research, internships, etc.);
  • a research project related to the scientific-disciplinary sectors of the PhD Course;
  • an interview that will focus on the project and the candidate’s research interests.
